Debby – Supervisor

I started with SEC as a Seneca ECE placement student in 2006 at the Aurora Ontario Early Years Centre.  Over the years I have perused other professional opportunities that have come my way but I have always returned to SEC because it felt like home.  Being a parent of a child with ASD/ADHD and Anxiety Disorder has taken me down the road of some specialty courses and a genuine interest of working with children that require some extra support.  Working with school age children gives me an opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives by celebrating their accomplishments and encourage them to explore and investigate whatever they may find interesting.   On the weekends you will find me up north on the lake or at my local community garden where I volunteer and have a plot where I grow vegetables.  Children are like my plants they need care and tending to so they can flourish and reach their full potential.
